This piece originates from a falconers’ meet, where Tim Bowles observed a young gyrfalcon and captured the reference image that would later become this work. According to Tim, the bird asked him to “Paint [him] like [he was] flying”, and then posed in a way that allowed him to take the photograph that was later used for the painting.

The original painting gained immediate interest and was purchased before the background was completed. As a result, the composition remains focused on the bird itself, emphasizing form, posture, and presence.

Each print measures approximately 12 x 18 inches and is personally signed by the artist.
